PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
We, the Family of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church,
a part of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia,
dedicated to Mary, our Mother,
see the gift of the Eucharist as the center of our life.
As a faithful, loving and caring community proclaiming the Good News of God,
we reach out to everyone by linking the church with the community-at-large.
Devoted and committed to the one true Church of Christ , the Catholic Church,
we strive to follow the will of God as we journey toward eternal life with Jesus Christ under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
As brothers and sisters of Christ Jesus and through the intercession of our Blessed Lady,
we dedicate and commit ourselves to:
Celebrate the Eucharist, as well as all the Sacraments of our Church worthily and to strengthen our devotion to the Blessed Mother
Educate all to the wonders of God, and in particular, to encourage our youth to understand their integral part in the Parish community
Care for the spiritual, physical, and social needs of individuals by generous acts of charity and attention to the corporal and spiritual Works of Mercy
Strengthen the family by accepting and utilizing all members of the Body of the Church and their special talents
Reach out to all in our community and invite them to join us as we travel on the journey to eternal life with God
Give back to God what He has given to us so that we understand that we are stewards of His gifts and must use these gifts to build up the Kingdom on earth
Through the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, we pray that as His family we cooperate in bringing salvation to the world.
Through the intercession of Mary, our Most Precious Mother and Patron, we give thanks to God for guiding us and bestowing many blessings on our Parish.
We look to Mary of the Assumption for inspiration in building a stronger inner faith thus continuing to be a people attentive and devoted to God and our neighbor.
Guide us Lord today and everyday to the holy life and keep our parishioners close to Your Heart and away from the evils of the world.
